[Ok, now he registers surprise. Youth didn't give it his all?] Next time something comes for you, you fight back. [Supporting Youth, he helps him walk.] They're just clothes. Don't worry about it.

[He blinks, surprised at being ordered to fight back.] I did! There were several! And they were all armed. Almost literally! They had blades for arms!

[Youth leans heavily on Bell, trying not to seem like he was so much.] I will not then. I will... [Losing track of what he'd been saying, he shakes his head.] I will walk.

[Casually, but taking in all the information.] Ah... And did they just run off after cutting you up?

[He's fine with it. You take care of teammates, after all.] You do that. Just don't pass out on me.

[Frowns.] They did. And I do not know why. They could have killed me, they had the chance. It is possible it was a warning...

I will not pass out. That would be even less youthful. [He smiles just a bit.] I would offer to run, but I do not think I would manage it.

[His grip tightens slightly, and then he consciously loosens his hold back to normal.] I'm pretty sure it was a warning, yeah. They may try again, so be on your guard.

Mm hm... [A side glance.] And I doubt I could carry you. [For a second, that makes him pause, but he lets it slide since he can't conjure up the memory that reminds him of.] We'll just have to take it slowly.

[Feels the grip change, marks it up to the possibility of another attack.] I will be. If they attack, do not feel bad about dropping me to face them. They are small, fast-moving, and grey. They blend into snow surprisingly well for not being white.

You are strong. But I am not very light. [Youth nods, trying not to nod too hard and wind up lightheaded.] That is fine. We will make it. And Rabbit is on his way, as well.

[Nods a little. Now he knows what to watch for, though.] I'll ...keep that in mind.

...no, you're not.
Rabbit?

[Gives a weary thumbs-up.] Good. I do not want you hurt as well.

He says he is one of the medics, and was on his way before you got here.

[ here, have a redhead with an eyepatch suddenly appear in front of you. he has a strange habit of doing that. ]

Yo ♥! You're Youth, yeah?

[Ok, that was unexpected. Though people coming and going so quickly...hm. Not quite so odd, actually.]

You must be Rabbit?

[Youth stares at the arrival for a moment, before connecting the eyepatch and hair with Kazahana's drawing of him. The arrival doesn't strike him as all that strange, but he's not wondering much about it right now.]

Yes, I am Youth. And this is Bell.

[ looks like youth's lost quite a bit of blood. it's not the first serious injury he's seen since stoneface's murder. gee. ]

Yup, I'm Rabbit. Nice t' meetcha. [ he offers a quick introductory wave to both of them. ]

I'm gonna ask ya a few questions, 'kay? [ coherency check /o/ ]

Are ya part'a the Watch?
Can ya feel your fingers'n toes?
What day is today?

Yes.

I am on the Watch. [Youth pauses, making sure he could wiggle them all.] And I can feel them.

[He can understand the need for the first question especially, as well as the second. The third has him a little stumped, both for reason and answer. Youth glances down at his journal as if that will give him the answer.] It is... today.

[ another watch injury D: ]

Well normally ya tell me what day'a the week it is, but that works. 'least I know you're somewhat here.

Should at least stop the bleedin' in your side, though, else ya might end up faintin' 'fore we even get t' med.

[Bell just kind of sighs and rolls his eye at Youth's inability to answer the last question. Figures.]

He's as "here" as he will be.

[He nodded to Rabbit's suggestion and shifted his hold to give better access to Youth's wounded side.]

You want him sitting or standing for this?

[Youth shoots a slightly annoyed look at Bell. He knows he's being called a bit dense.]

Days do not always matter so much here...

[He tried to help Bell, but figured he was really only going to get in the way at this point.]

I've kept some pressure on it. Though I do not think it's been enough.

C'mon, kneel for a moment 'n I'll patch ya up enough for us t' get to med, 'kay?

[ he digs about in his med bag for rolls of gauze ]

[Bell ignores Youth's annoyed glance. There are more important things at the moment. Like getting Youth healed. While Rabbit fishes for bandages, Bell helps Youth into position. He's silent, attentive, and yet keeps a watchful eye on the surrounding area.]

[He nods. A bit clumsily Youth kneels, trying to cover up for it. He's not proud of being weakened, but there's not anything he can do about it. A short breath out was all that betrayed the pain he was in from his injuries.]

Try t' stay still, 'kay? [ rabbit does take note of that. he's extremely observant. he observes the wound youth has (oh man, what a wound) and chooses to wrap the gauze and bandages around the shirt. removing the shirt might reopen the wound. but first he felt delicately around the wound for breaks. ]

[It's worse than Bell thought it was. Perhaps its good that Youth has a medic now. Bell steadies Youth as best he can without disrupting any of the wounds, as Rabbit proceeds through his examination.]

How's it look?

I will. [He would have nodded, but that would be moving, and he's trying to cooperate. Youth grimaces as Rabbit tests the injury. Leaning just a bit on Bell, Youth focuses on staying upright.]

Red. And brown. [So what if Bell wasn't talking to him? He could still answer.]

[ definitely cracked. ]

I won't sugar coat it for ya. You'll definitely need stitches 'n lots'a rest. Your ribs're at least cracked.

[ man, wrapping this would be hard. He padded up the wounds then wrapped the gauze around his girth, taping the edges to keep the pads still. ]

[ Seren dashes to the housing level before checking her journal again, seeing the reply from Bell as to where she's going ]

[ She says this out loud to no one ] Our training has paid off, Youth, and now it will serve me to aid you. [ Then she looks for which direction she needs to go, speeding off in that direction ]

[ She finally hears two voices she doesn't know and 1 she does ] Youth...

[ She skids to a halt near all three men ] I am Seren. I offered to help carry Youth to the medical area.

[Profound observation, Youth. Really. Lucky you always sound like this, or Bell might have to actually worry about your mental state... But Youth's brave about it, and Bell expected no less.]

See. You'll be fine... Just a little banged up.

[And then, faster than he had ever seen anyone move... So this was Youth's training partner. He nodded once to acknowledge Seren.]

We'll have to be careful with him. He's got some cracked ribs.
