Twenty-second Lotus - blooming twice

[There are a lot of spots on the page where his pen has rested as he tries to figure out what to write and how. Then his familiar handwriting starts.]

I do not know how to apologize since I still do not know what happened but I am sorry and I am back! And I would like to see everyone who wants to see me.

[There's more pen resting.]

I have a brother now! It is not worth dying over. But now I have one, and I wanted one. So that is good at least.

I think that I need to figure out how to alter the direction of my kick in mid-air. Does anyone have suggestions?

That is a great relief.

...My day has been interesting. It seems the Tree has a new set of tricks for us.

People have woken to find themselves not in their beds, but rather in compromising--potentially dangerous--situations. Attempts at rescue have sometimes met with the rescuer becoming trapped with the captive.

I'm not sure. I woke into such a trap, then when Reed came to help me [long pause] ...suffice to say he became trapped as well. Cara was able to free us, though.

[pentaps] Passing strange. It was at once dangerous, not dangerous, and very ...embarrassing.

Thank you. With any luck, I won't [scratched out because that is just not a wise thing to say, anytime, anywhere]

...Not really, mostly to do with [pause] the precise nature of the trap and the way it changes one's attire.

...It is like that a mind like Bell's devised these traps. [Now we see if that was direct enough. Oh boy.]
