Twenty-third Lotus
There is a lot to write.
I will start with the serious first. There are many gone from the Sphere. Six. Alice. Free. Alex. Angelfish. Alex. Bunraku. Butterfly. Light. Law. Walk. Sage. Snap. Another Alex. And Stardust. The ones that were already announced are Crow, and Burn, and Code. I am sorry.
I am stepping down from Scavenging, Bridge. I think I want to spend more time with the people that are precious to me. Thank you for being a good boss.
Cara? Is the weapons stall able to repair a belt? I found it a couple of weeks back and have not had time to come by and get it fixed.
Does anyone know about the tickets that showed up before? I was given one in the parade, and do not know what to do with it, or where to take it.
Lotus, Bell. If you are both off tonight, we should have dinner together. I will help, but I will not insist on doing most of the work.

[Youth gave him a smile back, glad that it hadn't been a real protest. Youthy sounded silly, and he had a feeling he was already viewed as just being silly by too many.
He could walk in quiet sometimes. When he was stressed was one of those rare times. At Genius' burst of questions his smile became wry.]
I am not trying to be you to her Toushi. I do not even know why she started to call me a liar. But it bothered me. A lot. I am not a liar. I am me and I do not want to be looked down on or dismissed. The list was hard to write and then Handmaiden wrote and I felt better but then Bastet wrote and treated me like I was bad and wrong for being hurt by rudeness and made it sound like she thought I might be lying.
[That had been a lot, all at once, and his smile had faded into a rather miffed look. He'd been trying to help, and no one had ever attacked Justice when he'd announced, or anyone else. Youth wasn't even sure that he wanted to keep doing this with Handmaiden and Ghost, but he'd offered. He would do it. And he'd make sure he was with someone who cared about him the next time he wrote about any future disappearances.]

[It was nice that they had become friends to the point where silence was comfortable. It was still something Genius was adjusting to--although then again he was adjusting to just having friends period. But after a solid week of going magical ninja tricks with Youth, he had become used to the zen quiet mood that his friend could slip into..even though this was one brought up by stress]
She called you a liar because she doesn't know better. I wouldn't take it personality. The journals are all about anonymity and people say hurtful things when they're not talking to someone's face. Bastet's an authority figure right? It's her job to be dick. She seems unapproachable just like all the so called leaders here. Frankly everyone involved came off looking bad, but then I caught it late.
[The elevator arrived with a ding and Genius waited till they were in to continue]
The only part I don't get is...how DID you come up with that comprehensive of a list? I've seen others do it before but...this is the first time I've seen you do it.
QL
[That was one of the many good things that could be said about the week he had students stuck with him. He felt closer to Derrick and Genius both, and still wasn't sure what to think of Lezard. But it had been fun.]
I apologized many times. And Bastet has not been rude before to me. She seemed upset at Bell encouraging Blood to... Yachiru, I mean. Yachiru to take Bastet's undergarments, but calmed down when he teased. I did not want to look bad or be bad. It is not good to be stuck denying things.
[He hesitated, trying to figure out a safe way to say it.]
I found out how to do it by accident. It is... [Youth looked at the elevator nervously.] There is a way. In a place. That is hidden. And I do not think here is a good place.
QL-Wow Luce and Scath I am so sorry
[dawww Youth, Genius lubs you too]
I don't think you look bad. Everyone knows you, nobody knows that Target lady. Besides I don't think Bastet can come off nice. Every time I read her writing it comes off cold, distant and calculating...except when someone teases her, as you say.
[...what Genius?]
Bell's her minon right? It makes sense. My advice? Next time just stay out of it. Let Mommy Bastet and Daddy Stoneface fight the crazy psychos like Target.
[He looks around the elevator nervously]
You got a valid point, man-friend.
[He stops talking till the elevator dings open and with a sigh of relief, he sprints out]
QL - lol. It's just their characters.
[He nods after a moment, feeling reassured.]
I do not think Bastet is cold all of the time. I do not like her right now, but she is not a bad person. Target I do not like at all.
[Youth blinks.]
Minion? He works for her, but he is not blind. He would not just follow her. And I like Stoneface. Please do not mock him; he is important to me and he is my boss.
[His smile was a little tight as he nodded and followed Genius out.]
But I can explain the ticket a little! That I think is safe! It goes to a theatre that is difficult to get to and shows something.
QL--I still feel bad
[He smirks at the minon confusion]
I just mean Bell is her second in command. He does stuff for her. I'm not dissing on Stoneface--he seems to get stuff done. You like him? Wait--you like everyone. Except for Toushi, Rogue and Target. Three out of a thousand, not too bad right?
[He saw that tight smile and for one managed to reign in his snark]
Something like...a movie? A documentary? What?
QL-- Ah, okay.
[Youth paused, trying to figure out if there were other names on the list.]
I did not like Aurora or Yehuda. And there was something about Sage that worried me the way that Apostle does. Oh. I do not like Apostle either. And I think Lin is very strange and rude since she will not talk to most people.
[But at that he was out of names. And that out of a thousand was still good, especially as he'd gotten around and spoken to most of them. Even Zombie could be forgiven depending on what happened.]
It is like an apple for two. It shows from one person's past to both. ...I will probably take Bell. I think that is safest.
QL--lol Youth's shitlist
Wait. [He fakes a shocked look] There are people out there that LIKE Apostle?! Who the heck is Aurora and Lin?
[He headed out into the crowded bazaar. As always he flinched at the mass of people lingering around and he bit his lip before he continued. He really disliked crowds. It made his palms sweaty and his chest tight.
But he liked shaved ice and cheering up his man friend.
Life was cruel.]
That sounds like what I saw on the fourth floor. [He gave Youth a side glance] Yeah good idea. How in the heck do you and Fred FIND this stuff?
QL--It is short and easy to remember
I do not know if people like them or not, but you said I liked everyone. Aurora is gone. Lin is the person who only talks to Castor and Bastet.
[Glancing over at Genius, Youth saw that his friend was uncomfortable. Not sure what was the problem, he gave Genius a pat on the shoulder.]
It showed up in the parade. You did not go?
QL--I'm impressed it exists at all
[It wasn't that he couldn't go into crowds. He just felt uncomfortable. Closed in, like he can't escape. They're loud and, ever since the Zombie attack, unpredictable. He just preferred to deal with people one on one. It was why he wasn't promoted to a senior medic like most of the other interns but was instead made a lab tech. It was a good call on his boss' account, even though Genius was totally capable of the other job. It just made him uncomfortable. He didn't WANT to listen to bitch about the way they accidentally cut their hand while cooking. It was so..pedantic. Boring. Normal people stuff. Not worth his time and effort. Lab work on the other hand...was ok also boring but at least there were no people involved AND he got to play with chemicals. Can't go wrong with that.]
I saw it, I avoided it. I don't know WHY people are so trusting of these CPA folks. I mean talk about shady. They speak in code, they only show up with something insane happens. I mean we think they're on our side but...who knows.
QL--He can't like everyone, even though he tries?
I think he might be from my world. The symbol he has drawn and his talk of Jashin is very familiar in a very bad way. [Then he blinks.] Oh! You were talking about Castor? He is not that bad. He is just lonely. But yes, Lin stalks Bastet. And I think Lin is a she, though I am not sure. I have never seen... her or him.
[Youth would be strong for them both, then, and keep Genius safe. And radiate enough confidence for both of them.]
I do not trust them. But They know more than we do, so talking to them could be helpful.
