I would like to thank those who were concerned about me after the flash. I am fine ~~and everything is back to normal now~~.

Apple? I am curious about something. Is there a time that I would be able to meet with you?

[And then he's off, headed to the shelter. Youth knocks on the doorframe of the shelter when he's there.]

Apple?

[Apple is picking up pet toys when Youth appears and he waves, causing him to drop a squeaky ball. A chorus of barks greet the ninja as well.]

Hiya Youth! You sure got here fast.

[Youth beams.]

It is good to be running again! I have been 'cooped up' and I do not like it.

[He hears the barks and glances in the direction they came from.]

I came because I was looking for something. I am sorry that it is not just a social visit. I should visit you more often, I think, and not just for pets. But... I was wondering. Do you have any puppies?

[Youth gets an equally blinding smile]

Running feels great! Almost as good as flying! I'm glad you're all better too.

That's ok I like it when people come visit the shelter! It keeps everyone from getting lonely. Oh. Puppies? Like a baby? I have one--a girl-- and three older ones. Do you want to see her?

Yes, but...[Youth shrugs. If it didn't bother Apple, then there was no reason to explain why it could.] I would! It is even better that the puppy is a girl!

[Apple leads Youth to the pen where there are three larger dogs yapping excitedly at the fence, each with their tails wagging excitedly. One of them jumps. They are all pushing a much smaller black colored Scottish Terrier puppy that was too young to push back. Apple frowns and has to hop into the pen to get her.]

She gets picked on cause she's small. But she's really sweet! She can't help being small forever.

[Someone was still bothered by the NPC-Kun's revelation that no child would never grow up in the sphere]

[Youth follows Apple and looks into the pen, watching the little puppy. He holds out his arms for her once Apple has saved her.]

May I see her? And it is not her fault.

[There is a pause as he glanced over at Apple.]

We are sure that applies to pets as well? Night's Chocobo has not stayed a hatchling, I do not think?

[But he picks up on the phrasing and pats Apple on the back.]

It cannot be fun to stay small. But it means that you will forever be able to get into places most cannot go because they are too big. And it does not have to mean you are weak. You can train to become stronger, to fly longer, to run faster, to do more pushups. You are not less because you are young.

[Apple gently hands the pup to Youth. She pants happily before trying to lick Youth's face. Such a sweet pup]

Oh. I'm not sure...I've never seen an animal born on the farm and that's not right.

I know I'm not weak but I could be stronger! I want to be able to protect Moon. I have Eyepatch's knife--Zombie gave it to me. But I don't want to hurt anybody unless I really have to.

[Always with the face licking. What was it with dogs? Youth tries to avoid it a little, but gives in. At least she's not as messy as Tenzou.]

[Youth blinks. That seems like a problem, there.]

How is our meat supply sustainable? If animals are not being born but they are being killed...

[He gives Apple an encouraging grin.]

You can be! If you would like, I could train you! And sometimes you do not have to hurt people. Sometimes just by being there you protect!

And no. It is not fair. You have doubtlessly heard that life is not fair. But you deal with what is in front of you. Worrying about things that cannot be changed leaves you in the past. The now is what is important, what you can do, what you can be.

Really? Training to be like you and Bell?! I'd like that! Can we?! I want to be able to protect the people I care about, or at least be someone nobody has to worry about.

[He pauses and stares at the pup in Youth's arms]

...You know she looks bigger than when I first got her. So I'm just confused by everyone. Nobody makes up their minds around here.

I enjoy Turtle more, but Bell very much likes dogs. He had a girl puppy for a short time that turned out to be Nova and was disappointed when she was gone. So she is perfect. And if you did not mind asking, I would like to know.

[Cheerfully Youth nods.]

I would be glad to train you! You will not be able to do everything. That is not because you are small, but because you do not have the same energy we do from home. But I can train you to be stronger and more able!

[Youth studies the puppy.]

I think that Tenzou and Leaf have grown, but I am not sure. It is hard to tell when you see someone every day.

Nova was a puppy? That sounds like fun!

[Apple bounces with excitement]

I would like that. I know I can't do a lot of the stuff that you and Bastet do but I can fly. That's something nobody else can do. I want to be stronger too!

Oh. Maybe they have. Maybe you should measure them to see if they grow! I could do the same. Maybe we all just grow super slowly here and we can't notice cause it's too slow!

I do not know if she liked it or not, but she was very cute!

I work mostly in the mornings and I'm off in the afternoon! Also weekends!
