I do not understand what it is with apples. I think I very strongly do not like them. But now I smell like them! I will not taste this time. I do not need to.

I think I may actually hate apples. But not Apple.

I am almost well again! I will be ready to return to normal things soon!

[Bell looked up from his journal, which sat in his lap as he flipped through the pages lazily. He was on the adjoining bed in Youth's room, the one he had staked out to keep an eye on his recovering roommate. He shrugged and remarked casually.]

Yeah, I preferred the soup taste you had the first day.

Though you know what they say about 'an apple a day...'

[Youth looked over at Bell and blinked.]

So this is even worse than something you already did not like?

[He glanced at the window very quickly. Too much being watched meant less chances to actually stretch well or even warm up.]

If the smell is something that you do not like, you could leave the room. [Youth frowned.] I think that an apple a day here would end in everyone dying.

[He glanced sideways, just to see if Youth took his word for it. Youth was looking at the window, probably thinking about training, and Bell went back to 'reading' the journal.]

No, no, it's fine. You just want a chance to escape again, and I'm not going to give you the chance.
Probably. Thought that would keep the doctor away, I guess.

[It was probably just Bell being a bit aloof again. Youth didn't know what was wrong with solid answers... except when they were no. Then he knew what was wrong with them.]

On Justice's request I have been visiting Sky! And I have to be somewhat careful because I want to be useful again soon! And this would be moderate! Under supervision! I think I already said that.

[Eying his shoes, he wondered if he could turn it into some sort of challenge to get to them first. Bell was in better shape than him, that was certain. And it could be difficult. A small-for-him smile came to his face but then faded. Bell was concerned. And Youth should respect that. Except it was boring. And it would be a workout to keep from being tied up, too. He looked up at Bell to try to figure out how serious his roommate was.]

I am not unconscious this time. Or out of it.

...Ah, well, while I'm here, you have to catch up on your rest. If you want to be useful again, you have to have some downtime, too.

[He followed Youth's gaze to the shoes, sitting up slightly more. There was no way Youth would get to them first, but Bell had to keep an eye on Youth anyway, and prevent him from doing more harm to himself by being hasty.]

I have not yet. I want to name him something that fits, but everything I have tried so far does not quite work. Soon, I am sure, something will come to me!

I do not know. I was miso soup and apples. I read that there was another day in there, but I was not very aware of it. I do not know if I tasted like anything then.

I am doing much better! But I cannot seem to convince Bell of this.
