Twenty-second Lotus - blooming twice

[There are a lot of spots on the page where his pen has rested as he tries to figure out what to write and how. Then his familiar handwriting starts.]

I do not know how to apologize since I still do not know what happened but I am sorry and I am back! And I would like to see everyone who wants to see me.

I have a brother now! It is not worth dying over. But now I have one, and I wanted one. So that is good at least.

I think that I need to figure out how to alter the direction of my kick in mid-air. Does anyone have suggestions?

I will! Though I am thinking about dropping my job as a Scavenger in the future and just being on the Watch. And that will mean more time with my family as well.

That sounds good to me. Besides, between you and Bell you've got two decent incomes and that's more than enough to take some time off.

And Lotus works as well, though I would not take money from him. It means that he can buy himself things he wants.

It is mostly defense and combat, but also physical fitness! It is important to be healthy and in good shape!

Well, yes, that's certainly important. But how about, you know, reading? Writing? Maths?

We read and write every day on the journals!

But I could teach math. I know calculation. I just do not know if anyone wants to learn math.

That's true, but that's not generally the sort of reading and writing they teach. [A couple taps--Stoneface's grasp on schooling is loose at best, and he can't for the life of him think about anything else that's to be taught.] Not that I know what is.

Not many people do, I suppose. Not many people here are exactly planning for the future which is what most people use math for.

I am not sure what is either. Maybe it is taught along with history? But history is not safe here.

You can also use it for predicting the angle you would need to throw something at to hit a target in the wind. Or to determine how to approach a mission most practically!

Well, yes, you could. Sounds a bit complicated for me. I was thinking more finances and planning ahead, myself. Payrolls, that sort of thing.

You mean making sure you do not spend more money then comes in? That is more simple than angles! I do not know who would need to learn that though. I think Sailormoon knows because she has had a shop, and Apple manages to feed all of his animals.
