[Well, Rabbit seemed to be in a hurry...Bell wasn't sure, but he didn't think the rapidity of ones pushing of the elevator button at all corresponded with the rate at which the lift arrived. Of course, he could be wrong.]

Nothing? Oh, so I still stand a chance. [The allusions at least kept Youth talking. Though maybe, Bell thought, it wasn't good to rile him up to anger now.] Sorry, Seren. I guess you missed your chance at him.

[They stepped into the elevator and Bell adjusted the door in his hands and elbowed the button for the floor they needed. The elevator started moving.]
